One of its greatest attractions are the coves of Estartit, which you can visit both on land to enjoy a day of sun and sand or through the Costa Brava Boats<\/a> pleasure boat rental service.<\/p>\n

The area enjoys exceptional landscapes and natural corners, making it an ideal destination for a rural getaway with family or friends. We have prepared a selection with the sites that you cannot miss and where you can stay.<\/p>\n

Best beaches and coves of l’estartit<\/h2>\n

The list of coves is extensive. Our recommendation is that you visit them all during your trip to find your own paradise.<\/p>\n

The municipality of l’Estartit is part of Torroella de Montgr\u00ed, and has about 14 km of coastline with many of the most idyllic coves on the Costa Brava and beaches with crystal clear waters. The most beautiful are the following.<\/p>\n

Cala Ferriol<\/h2>\n

\"Cala<\/p>\n

This beautiful cove belongs to the Parc Natural del Montgr\u00ed and is one of the most unspoiled and wild.<\/p>\n

We can only access it or walk from l’Estartit (approximately 1 hour), a highly recommended excursion that passes through the natural park and is of moderate difficulty, or we can also access it by boat.<\/p>\n

Cala Montg\u00f3<\/h2>\n

Surely the most famous and also the largest in the list of the best coves in l’estartit.<\/strong> Cala Montg\u00f3 is a larger cove about 20 km by car from l’Estartit, it can be accessed through the mountains by taking a 12 km excursion and it can also be accessed by boat without any problem. It is a very special and beautiful corner that is worth visiting.<\/p>\n

Cala Calella<\/h2>\n

Another of the most visited coves is Cala Calella. You can visit it on foot for approximately half an hour from the port of L’Estartit you can rent a boat without licence in l’Estartit<\/a>.
\nIt is a beautiful area, but you will have to ascend to the Cap de la Barra viewpoint and then descend to the sandy area. The views of the Illes Medes and Punta de Molinet make the effort worthwhile.
\nAn alternative to save yourself the walk is to arrive sailing with one of the boats of the Estartit boat rental of Costa Brava Boats.<\/a><\/p>\n

Cala Pedrosa<\/h2>\n

Surrounded by pine trees and rocks we find this small paradisiacal cove. Just in front of Cala Pedrosa is a small island called Illa Pedrosa. It is an ideal place to go with your glasses and snorkel to enjoy and admire the life and colors of the seabed.<\/p>\n

It is located one hour from the port of L’Estartit, and although you need to overcome some slopes during the tour, the transparency of the seabed makes it worthwhile to cheer up.<\/p>\n

Platja Gran de l\u2019Estartit<\/h2>\n

\"Platja<\/p>\n

In addition to the beauty of the l’Estartit coves<\/b>, this area also has wide sandy beaches such as Platja de Mas Pinell, 2 km long. long, with fine white sand and completely open to the sea.<\/p>\n

Best of all, you can park for free right next to the beach. It has all the services and is a perfect destination both to enjoy with the family and to practice water sports.<\/p>\n

The Medes Islands. The perfect complement to the best Estartit coves<\/h2>\n

They are undoubtedly the hallmark of l’Estartit. These islands form an archipelago just in front of the central beach, belonging to the Montgr\u00ed Natural Park, the Illes Medes and the Baix Ter.
\nIt is about 6 islands that have an approximate extension of about 23 hectares. Currently, the Illes Medes are one of the most important marine flora and fauna reserves in the Mediterranean.
\nIts main attraction is scuba diving to appreciate everything that is offered to us under the crystal clear waters. There are many activities that take place around the islands, such as glass bottom boat trips.<\/p>\n

What to do in the surroundings of Cales Estartit?<\/h2>\n

Once we have discovered the coves. We can discover the main streets and the atmosphere of the town.<\/p>\n

Everything revolves around Pla\u00e7a de la Vila and Santa Anna street, where there is always an atmosphere of people, bars and charming shops. Next to this area we find the promenade, also ideal for strolling and mixing in the most authentic atmosphere.<\/p>\n

If we want to know a little about the history of the area we can visit the Museum of the Mediterranean, the Palau Solterra or the Casa Galibern.<\/p>\n

Another very good option is to visit the neighboring municipality of Torroella de Montgr\u00ed (a few minutes by car), and go to the Castle of Montgr\u00ed or the beautiful church of Santa Mar\u00eda.<\/p>\n

The medieval town of Pals is also nearby and can be visited following the route. To make the most of the trip by car and continuing with the medieval route, we can go to the impressive and romantic Peratallada, a small medieval town all made of stone.<\/p>\n

It perfectly preserves its feudal appearance and its walls and arches are perhaps the most special and beautiful thing to see in medieval architecture.<\/p>\n
